Today I hit my lowest weigh in to date. SW 220lbs (3 years ago) I have been maintaining between about 172lbs and 177lbs for the last 2 years. Today I weighed in at 169.6lbs. I won’t have a photo of the scale until next week because the weight of my phone wont show this number. Finally out of the 170’s!

This package says that a servings is about 8 pieces. When in fact it’s actually 4 based on the pieces that were used. Most of the pieces in this bag of Alexia oven fries.

This is why even after 3 years of losing weight and trying to remain healthy I still do this.

I started my journey the January after that first photo was taken. I was dating a guy at the time and as we tend to do sometimes, we forget to take care of ourselves and get comfortable. I’ve always been bigger my entire life. So when I reached my highest weight of 220lbs and a size 20 in jeans (torrid brand) I decided I had to make a change I was so unhappy. I signed up for the gym and my then boyfriend would go with me on occasion, but then would want to continue to eat fast food etc. I didn’t really much support in the manner. When I’d stay at his place, I brought food for me and he ate bad. It was too difficult. That January 2009 I decided to make some serious changes, my nephew was over one day, and asked not only myself but my mother 2 times, if I was pregnant. This was the fire I needed. Now single I was really able to concentrate on myself. Started going to the gym with a co-worker several days a week and was following Weight Watchers. Once her and I lost touch, I’ve struggled since.

I make a conscious effort I’d say a good 80-85% of the time to eat healthy, but the last nearly 3 years I’ve struggled. I have managed to keep the weight off and I don’t ever reach more than 176. My GW is 140 and I need that fire again. This time around I am doing it all alone and am finding it difficult to pull that motivation from somewhere.

At the same I feel very accomplished in doing probably the hardest part in keeping the weight off.

I’d like to see 140 by the start of summer, which is more than plenty of time to reach that goal.
